Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter spotted using walking stick during grocery shop
Janet Street-Porter braved the January chill to collect some essentials this week.
The Loose Women star, 74, was pictured strolling through her hometown of Primrose Hill with a bag of shopping and was using a walking stick.
The broadcaster – known for her bold personality – appeared out of sorts as she hobbled along with the help of the aid.
Janet was pictured furrowing her brow as she walked across the pavement with her head down as one hand – covered in a black leather glove – clutched the cane.
The journalist cut a trendy figure for her visit to the shops in Balenciaga trainers teamed with black trousers and wrapped up in a black wool coat that tied around her waist.
Protecting herself amid the coronavirus pandemic, the TV star covered her face with a pink cloth covering and covered her bright plum locks under the hood of her jumpers.
The Mirror have contacted Janet’s representative for comment.
Janet has previously shared that she is a keen walker and she loves to spend her free time hiking and at one with nature.
She even credits the exercise for keeping her looking younger than her years.
Janet boasted to in her Daily Mail column, at the start of January: “I’m 74, but (providing I’m smiling, not frowning) I don’t think I look it – all thanks to walking.
“No Botox. No fancy cream at £100 a pot. My recipe for good health is stout boots, a fleecy hat and a warm coat. A simple daily walk. No chat. No phone.”
Sharing on why she loves to take a hike, she continued: “As a former President of Britain’s biggest walking club, The Ramblers, I’m passionate about the benefits of putting one foot in front of the other in all weathers.
“Walking is free, it’s empowering and the best way to deal with stress. Walk and you’ve temporarily escaped from all the annoyances of everyday life.”
