Family holiday 2adults & 2 teens
FOOD
Could not fault the food.
Lots of options for eating round the pool or to go inside. Lots of choice. Everything fresh and tasty. You would be hard pressed to not find anything you liked. Breakfast vast choice, during the day various options where to eat and Evening restaurant choices or buffet style on offer. It would take too long to list all the options. Breakfast: traditional fried breakfast, breads and savouries, fruits, yoghurts, omelettes, cereals, traditional Jamaican etc
ROOMS
We asked to be upgraded. Initial first room was tired and needed updating, although clean and bed very comfortable. Second room ocean view and was much better and we were very happy. We were told that rooms were being updated so next time ask for one with walk in shower (rather than shower in bath which we had) as these were the modernised rooms (how true this is I don’t know just what another customer had said – they’d been 7 times).
FACILITIES:
Pool – wow! Should I just leave it there ha! Lots of space and room around pools. Main pool does what it says in the tin. Lazy river and pool had more to it with slides, swim up bar, tubes to lay on round lazy river etc. young and old catered for.
Beach – We did not spend much time on the beach preferring pool, but couldn’t ask for more…Family holiday 2adults & 2 teens

Beach – We did not spend much time on the beach preferring pool, but couldn’t ask for more visually or for beach lovers out there. Lots and lots of space and plenty of cabanas or places to lay. Ocean sectioned off for safety with lifeguard making excellent swimming and reassurance with children. Excellent guy working on the sailing boats, kayaks etc. (all free and included with all inclusive) really knowledgeable, felt safe in his hands and professional.
Large entrance to hotel with seating.
Shop: expensive unless sale on. Cheaper offsite. Had medicines, clothing, small amount of food/drink, beach toys etc
STAFF
Never been to a resort with so many high quality staff. Training must be on point. All had their positions down to a fine art from customer care, cleaning, entertainment, life guards etc. Always had time to assist with queries professionally and with a smile. Sylvester making breakfast omelettes was lovely and did it with a great charm and character. Forgot name but gentleman taking out on sailing boats from beach was awesome too.
EXCURSIONS:
We chose two trips which could be purchased from a separate office at the front of hotel.
Firstly Dunns river falls – brilliant trip. We all enjoyed this. Reasonable photos of you wanted package at the end. Definitely catering as a tourist attraction so less natural beauty though.
Secondly catamaran trip – lively on board so don’t go if wants peace and chilled boat trip, loved the talk given about Jamaica and history and farming/food, snorkels over reef sensitively I thought to the nature and reef. Food stop lovely and lively.
Did not choose the dolphin cove experience as I didn’t feel having done some research that really fair for the animals to be kept as they were for tourism. Just didn’t sit right with me. But having said this family we met did go and enjoyed although speedy through timed experience with dolphins was what I picked up upon and photos package taken of their experience extortionate charge for (well over 200 America dollars).
IF I HAD TO BE PICKY/CRITIQUE:
If I had to be really picky after all the amazing things about this hotel and resort I would say: Those older rooms need updating, as initially disappointed to see tattiness (soon solved with room change though) and cheaper resort shop with consistent prices, which kept having a sale one day then overly inflated prices the next.
I would also take American dollars as hotel first choice of payment. Everything priced this way and had to keep asking for conversion at til.More
