And just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, QC NY will unveil two new “Roman style” infinity pools.

New Yorker’s looking for a relaxing getaway won’t have to travel far this Memorial Day Weekend.

Less than a ten-minute ferry ride from The Battery Maritime Building in lower Manhattan, QC NY Spa opened on Governor’s Island in March, and will unveil two new infinity-style spa pools on Saturday, just in time for the long holiday weekend.

“Our spas and resorts are founded on the magic of wellness through water,” CEO of QC US Janine DiGioacchino said in a statement. “Inspired by ancient Roman baths, our spa pools are meticulously designed for an optimal wellness experience and are at the heart of our brand.”

With more than 20-wellness experiences including themed saunas, vichy showers, infrared beds, foot baths, and steam showers to choose from, the new outdoor pools replete with hydro-seats and loungers have been designed to massage the body and promote relaxation while increasing lymphatic circulation.

“Although we hit some unanticipated delays, it was all to maintain the integrity and quality our spa pools are known for, and we are confident that they were worth the wait,” DiGioacchino added.

With panoramic views over lower Manhattan and downtown Jersey City, the new pools are considered the crown jewel in the cap of this new European-style day spa. This is the first destination spa in QC Terme Spas and Resorts portfolio to open in the U.S.

“We’re extremely happy with the opening of these spa pools,” QC Terme CEO and founder Andrea Quadrio Curzio said. “They’re the centerpiece of a facility that our guests have all already described as beautiful and elegant in terms of the relaxation it offers and the attention to detail in the interiors, and which will now allow everyone to enjoy a unique view of the world, with the feeling of being in a lovely wellness and relaxation park away from the hustle and bustle of the city.”

Set in front of three historic Army barracks on Governors Island, upon arrival to the spa, guests will be given a tote bag including bathrobes, sandals, towels, shower products and a storage locker are all included in the cost of an $88 day pass.

Open 365-days a year from 10am-10pm Sunday-Thursday and 10am-11pm Friday and Saturday, day passes also include access to the spa and amenities for the day, as well as roundtrip ferry ticket to and from Governors Island.
