A women who is getting a free nose job on the NHS due to medical reasons has been trolled for ‘wasting taxpayers’ money’.

Olivia Alison, 23, from Birmingham, has a deviated septum from a previous broken nose.

She needs corrective surgery or she will continue to have trouble breathing, and it could also affect her hearing and eyesight.

The 23-year-old claimed that the surgeon will also remove the bump on her nose, so she will get some aesthetic benefit from the procedure.

Septorhinoplasty is performed to help address breathing difficulties, but it can also correct deformity following an injury, although it’s not done on the NHS for solely cosmetic reasons.

Olivia has been sharing her journey on her TikTok account @oliviaalison3 but has been met with some criticism.

problems.

A septorhinoplasty can be used to reconstruct the function of the nose after an injury and to correct complex issues with the structure of the nose.

childhood.

One said:’ How are you getting it paid for by the NHS? help a gal out x’

While others claimed she was using the word ‘nose job’ in the wrong context and warned her that the NHS would only fix the septum and not it’s appearance.

With one person saying: ‘it’s not a nose job it’s septoplasty and there’s no guarantee it’ll straighten your nose.’

Another said: ‘If it’s a septoplasty they won’t fix the bump or anything in terms of aesthetics it’s to do with the inside septum.’

To which Olivia replied: ‘It’s actually septorhinoplasty and also septoplasty is still a nose job.

‘It’s a septorhinoplasty so it’s both, he said he’s removing the bump and reducing the tip along with correcting the septum.’
